Fresh installation on ubuntu unable to show course table

Postby yohanesgultom » Mon May 30, 2016 3:42 pm

Hi all,

I just installed efront community on a subdomain in an ubuntu 14.04 server with PHP 5.5.9 and Apache 2.4.7. The installation was successful but I always stuck when opening courses page (eg /administrator.php?ctg=courses) (screenshot attached). I also don't see anything in my chrome's console log nor in apache log. I tried to install it on a subdirectory but have no luck as well. So I think it has something to do with my server's configuration.

Does anyone have similar experience? Could anyone give me suggestion how to make it work?

I got another clue: when I put var_dump in libraries/includes/courses.php in line 487 (below), the course list is shown intermittently. So I guess it's related to timeout. But I have tried to change php max timeout but still no luck :(

Code: Select all
$constraints['required_fields'] = array('has_instances', 'location', 'num_students', 'num_lessons', 'num_skills');
$courses      = EfrontCourse :: getAllCourses($constraints);
$totalEntries = EfrontCourse :: countAllCourses($constraints);
var_dump($courses);

Solved. It's due HTML compression by cloudflare. It removes comments such as below which are required by javascript render. So I just turn it off :|
Code: Select all
<!--ajax:coursesTable--> ... <!--/ajax:coursesTable-->
