Or a user language problem, if the user language is a language other than English, user derived statements, not open correctly.
This problem will not and some languages (such as Chinese simplified) is a double byte?
I passed the test, found that the language will double byte problems, such as Chinese simplified, traditional Chinese

I continue to test, found that the use of the system comes with no changed language files will not have a problem, individual character but use my own modified language files will have problems.


It seems not be double byte language, but language file encoding problem?!

Ha ha, find the cause of the problem, the language file save format problem, I use Notepad application to edit will have the question, I can change the use of the "EditPlus" application to edit and save for the original format, problem solving.

Found a very strange question

3 types of users (admin, Professor, student), the user English and chinese_traditional language use, derived in the report, the exported file is the correct format file. But if the user language using chinese_simplified, only the admin type of the user, the exported file format is correct, while professor and student users, the exported file format is wrong, although the extension also looks XLS, forced open in Excel applications, which are all garbled, can not read.

It is strange, may question would be what? Please advice, thank you!

Hello there,

have you edited any of these language files? A common cause for this issue is that language files are encoded incorrectly after editing. The encoding must be UTF-8 without BOM. I suggest you to use Notepad++ that makes a clear distinction about these two utf8 modes.

Had you edited these files or they were wrongly encoded in the distribution?

It is very strange!


No longer is the coding problem, because the coding error, open the page when you see error.


Different types of users, in the same language file, exporting a report some normal and some abnormal problems, I re naming language file name, re upload, and rename the language name. The problem is actually disappeared.

I found the reason, I mapped a non-existent account caused the error.

Actually I had suspect this possible reason but when I tried here in a local installation I did not get such an error.
It needs a more clear message however and I am working on this now.
