Hosting Suggestion

Postby awojciehowski » Wed Feb 17, 2010 11:07 pm

Greetings all:

I am looking at upgrading to an Educational version/license. If I do this, I will need allI of my data (not much, only about 25 lessons) transferred over and will need to change hosting providers as the current one doesn't have the appropriate Apache version.

Can anyone suggestion a reasonably price hosting company?

Thanks,
Adam

I've been using Fused Hosting [aff] for a number of years and have been very happy with their service and support. The servers are very well managed and best of all, eFront works very well on it :-)

They will typically move all of your content from your existing Host for free (ie. they move your site AND your data for you!) They also have a number of levels ranging from shared to VPS or dedicated depending on your needs.

Thanks Skippybosco!

Can I inquire as to what package you have? Shared hosting, Dedicated?

Thanks,

I have both shared and dedicated accounts for my various projects and clients.

For some of my smaller projects I have shared hosting accounts (If I expect 500-1000 users)

For my much bigger projects (scaled web services and applications) I have dedicated servers.

The service level and quality of experience is the same across the offerings for me, only difference being the resources available.

Hello,

I have my hosting company with servers in Europe and in the United States.
I am developing one efront site for my own and as so i will be interested on giving support to it.
We have disks in raid 1 or raid 10 and remote backups at each 3 hours.
In one of the servers i have backup at table level for the mysql.

My site is 100mp.com but the site is just in portuguese at the moment.

Thank you,

Paulo Santos

I personally hosted my website in start but i was unable to install and maintain the servers. Then in last i finally hired Finestshops hosting provider for managed hosting and i must say after that i will not have to worry about maintaining the servers. Their experts are always available for technical support.I think managed hosting is better if you want to make your business a success
