is the "academic" a sub-type of "administrator"? The you can check the user's user_types_ID member
Code: Select all
if ($currentUser -> user['user_types_ID'] == $academicUserTypeID) {
...
}

Another question, is the eFront system have a session based on user surname i.e. $_SESSION['s_surname']? I want to develop some modules that retrieve data based on surname field. Thank you for your attention.

Hello,
I'm afraid there is no specific documentation, but the most important session variables are the following:
s_login: The login name of the current user
s_type: The basic type of the current user.
s_lesson_user_type: The basic type that the user is currently logged in a lesson as
s_lessons_ID: The id of the current lesson
s_courses_ID: The id of the current course

Hi
I've developed a new module. How can I share it with others. Is there any usual way that my module appears on the modules page of the website?

Hello,
the efront team (that's us) must review each module before being posted on the official modules site. I suggest that you post it here first, so we can have a look (and anyone else from the community)

Translator Module

Postby mkhahani » Sat Jul 30, 2011 11:30 am

The module Translator helps to translate languages in a user friendly manner instead of editing language files directly. Also it does some improvements on the target language file.
