Can't add SCORM zip file

Postby bankert123 » Wed Mar 03, 2010 3:26 am

I seem to be running into a road block and need some new suggestions.

I am using the latest version 3.6.0 build 6152, I was testing out SCORM with the golf demo (noticed it mentioned in another post), but I cannot get it to accept a zip file extension. I added zip to the allowed file extensions in the system settings. Do I have to clear or reset anything after that? Is there a different place where I should be looking?

I tried clearing my browser and efront cache, but that did not change anything. I receive the following error.

You may only upload files with extension: png, jpg, bmp, avi, zip, .zip (105) More info

--more info--
#0 **(front of file tree removed)**/mybasefile/libraries/filesystem.class.php(2902): FileSystemTree::checkFile('')
#1 **(front of file tree removed)**/mybasefile/libraries/includes/scorm.php(121): FileSystemTree->uploadFile('scorm_file', '**(front of file tree removed)**/...', 1)
#2 **(front of file tree removed)**/mybasefile/www/professor.php(455): require_once('/home/richardb/...')
#3 {main}

**(front of file tree removed)**/mybasefile/ was added to hide my base file structure.

Just to keep my conversation update...

Doesn't matter if I change the zip handler from PHP to System, I receive the same error.
Also my Maintenance is green all the way including the zip extension so it should not be a server issue.
All the zip info under the PHP info page is enabled and looks good.

Okay solved my own problem, well partly me, mostly another post that gave me the idea. I removed the extensions from the allowed file extensions to allow all (you should add that as a note beside that box) and no problems. So hopefully this little rant will help someone else.

What was the extension of the initial file?

Also, can you give us a short description of your server (e.g., OS, memory)

The initial file was a zip file.

My local host server is a WAMPP server (PHP v5.2.5, MYSQL 5.1.30, Apache 2.2.11)
My other server is Linux CentOS hosted by HostGator and I am not sure what the memory is, but I am using next to nothing.

@bankert123: you were seeing this issue on both your WAMP and your HostGator server?

Yes it was on both, not sure if it was my mistake or a bug.

I was having the exact same issue using eFront version 3.6.9 build 11018.
Followed the "emptying allowed files types" area and tried againg to import.
I got no errors anymore.

Thanks for the tip, ;)

On my enviroment, I would like to using blacklist file upload rather than white list file list upload. We have no problem with this setting so far. :D
